Shop with scrip

Shop With Scrip is an outstanding way we have discovered for you to contribute funds to our team without taking a single cent out of your pocket. You don’t have to purchase useless fundraiser stuff from us that you really don’t want anyway. You don’t have to do anything, except for continue to spend your money on the items that you and your family need at the places you normally shop. That’s right, you continue to buy groceries at your favorite store, buy clothes from wherever you want to shop, buy gasoline and car care products from your normal places, keep shopping at Lowe’s or Home Depot, and go on vacations and buy airline tickets, rent cars, and stay in hotels, all of which with any company you choose to do business with. In return for you doing business with the companies you already deal with and any other ones that you choose, these companies, not you, give money to our team. Yes, you read that correctly, these companies give money to our team in exchange for you doing business with them.

ShopWithScrip is a company we are now affiliated with. It is set up to do fundraising for non-profit groups only. The way it works is you simply purchase gift cards to any of the participating stores on their list, and we get a percentage of that purchase price donated to our team. The best part is the donations to our team come from them, not you. It doesn’t cost you anything at all. If you want a $25 gift card to Lowe’s, it costs you exactly $25. If you want a $100 gift card to Wal-Mart, it costs you exactly $100. The gift card you receive is the exact same card you would get if you went to that store and bought it. They are their store’s gift cards. The basic concept is you are spending exactly the same amount of money you currently spend at the same places you currently spend it, and the companies are giving us a donation.

There are tons of participating companies. Just about every place you can think of. These gift cards are a great way to budget your spending on everyday items, or the perfect gift to give someone to their favorite store. To get started or to just check out the list of participating retailers, here’s what you do:

Go to www.ShopWithScrip.com

This will bring you to their home page

To see a list of participating businesses:

  • On the Hone page there is a dark blue line of tab choices across the top of the page, click on Order Scrip.
  • You will see Browse By Category and a list of categories
  • Take some time and look through the categories. You will find that many of the places you shop with are participating partners
  • Under each category you will see the business name, the dollar amount of the cards they offer, and the % of the purchase they donate to our team.
  • For Example: If you click on Home Improvement, then scroll down to where you see Lowe’s. It shows that Lowe’s offers cards in $25, $100, $500, and $1000 amounts. Then it says that they will donate 4%. So, let’s say you have something at Lowe’s you want to buy that will cost you $100. You purchase the gift card from us, spend it at Lowe’s, and we get a donation of $4, and it did not cost you a penny extra. Now that may not seem like a lot, but every little bit adds up.

To sign up as participating family:

  • Go to the Home page
  • On the right hand side of the page you will see an orange box that says Member’s Login. This is where you will login each time you wish to order a gift card.
  • At the bottom of that orange box click on Not a member?-Click Here
  • Enter your information in the spaces provided and click on I accept at the bottom of the page (Leave the Student name and Teacher name spaces blank, these are for if your group is a school.)
  • The next page says Join a Non-Profit. This is where you select the group you want your purchases to benefit. It asks you for an Enrollment Code. Enter our team’s code which is 4BD3267F185L2

Now each time you would like to place an order you simply go to www.ShopWithScrip.com , login with your email address and password you created, and follow the steps to ordering. Once you place an order it will tell you to forward a check to our team. We chose this option because for you to pay them directly involves a small fee. You mail us a check made out to Team Rescue Mode for the purchase amount to:

Team Rescue Mode

7503 South Pinehill Drive

Richmond, Va 23228

ShopWithScrip will notify us of your pending order. When we receive your check we will process the order and have your gift card sent to us within a week. We will then distribute the cards to you.

Please go to the website and check out all the participating businesses. It does not cost you anything to sign up. Try it out on a small gift card to your favorite store or restaurant. If the process works well for you, and you are satisfied with everything, then all we ask is that you continue to support our team by purchasing cards for everyday use, special occasions, vacations, gifts, and more.

Thanks so much for trying this out and helping our team raise the money it takes to compete. If you have any questions, simply go to our Contact Us page and e-mail, write, or call.

Team Rescue Mode would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Grace Oughton. Grace is the three year old daughter of one of our fellow firefighters. She has battled for two years against a cancer called Neuroblastoma. Now, her fight is over and she is at peace. Although we will all miss her, we will never forget her, and we know she is in a better place. Please visit her website at www.SaveGrace.com to learn more about her story and how you can help support other children in their fight against Neuroblastoma.
